Seed, fertiliser distribution begins at Kaharol

KAHAROL, DINAJPUR, July 17: Organised by Kaharol Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), a programme to distribute free seeds, tree saplings and chemical fertiliser among marginal farmers was inaugurated by Alhaj Md Manjurul Islam, MP for Dinajpur-1 Constituency, as the chief guest on the Upazila Agriculture Office premises on Thursday at 10 am.

The programme aims to increase the cultivation and production of summer vegetables (Ufshi hybrid) and lemons in the Kharif-2 season in the 2025-2026 fiscal year and to implement the government's election pledge. 

Present at the event were Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mokleda Khatun Meem, Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md Zahidur Rahman, District BNP Joint General Secretary and Upazila BNP President Md Golam Mostafa Badsha, General Secretary Lecturer Md Shamim Ali, Agricultural Extension Officer Md Khurshid Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Kaharol Police Station Md Selimur Rahman Selim, District BNP Member Md Abul Hossain Raja, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Md Sadequl Islam Sadeq, and Joint Convener Md Jewel Rana.
