Board dismisses CTG HSC exam rumour

The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee has dismissed as false a social media claim that the HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board will begin on July 27 according to the previously announced schedule.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the committee said the circulating notice is “completely false and misleading.”

Signed by the committee’s convener and Dhaka Education Board Examination Controller Prof Jessmin Tasmima, the statement clarified that the viral notice has no connection with either the Chattogram Education Board or the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee.

The committee urged the public not to believe or share unverified information, stressing that all examination-related notices and decisions are published only through the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the Ministry of Education, the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee and the respective education boards.

It also called on the public to refrain from spreading rumours or misleading information in the interest of the public.
