Two held with foreign pistol, ammunition in Khulna 

KHULNA, July 24: Members of RAB-6 arrested two alleged criminals, including a listed extortionist, along with a foreign-made pistol, ammunition and a magazine during a raid in Khulna city on Friday, said a RAB-6 press release.
The arrestees are Nazim alias Nadim, 30, a resident of Amtala area and his alleged associate Md Masud Rana, 37, of Islampur area under Labanchara Police Station (PS).
According to RAB-6 press release, a special operational team of its CPC Special Company conducted the drive at Islampur under Labanchara PS around 11:50 am based on confidential information and arrested Nadim and Masud along with a foreign-made pistol, four rounds of live ammunition, one spent cartridge and one magazine from inside Nadim’s house.
RAB claimed that Nadim is a listed criminal and extortionist in the Labanchara area and was kept under surveillance before the operation. Preparations are underway to file a case under the Arms Act against the two.
