Stop Beggars from Entering IU Classrooms

Dear Sir,

Teachers and students at the Islamic University (IU), Kushtia, are facing embarrassment due to the frequent entry of beggars into classrooms. Beggars enter freely while classes are in progress or during breaks, often knocking on doors, interrupting lectures and asking for financial help. Such incidents disrupt the normal teaching environment, force teachers to stop their lectures and divert students’ attention. As a result, the rhythm of the entire class is disturbed.

Recently, these unwanted incidents have become common in various academic buildings, including the Faculty Building, IBN Sina Science Building and Mir Mosharraf Academic Building, creating concern among both teachers and students. While beggars deserve sympathy because of their socio-economic hardships, classrooms should never become places for begging. 

Therefore, I urge the university administration to take immediate steps to prevent such incidents and ensure a more active role of security personnel in controlling unauthorised entry.
