US Special Envoy Sergio Gor visits Rohingya camps

US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia and US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor has visited the Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar to witness the current situation of displaced Myanmar citizens.
11-member delegation, led by him arrived at the Cox’s Bazar airport at 12:00PM on Friday, July 31. Upon arriving, they headed straight to the camps.
According to the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), the delegation visited UN World Food Programme (WFP) activities at Rohingya Camp No. four in Ukhiya.
Their itinerary also included visits to Expanded Camp eight West (8W) and Camp six.
During the visit, the delegation observed the living conditions of the Rohingya, humanitarian aid programs, and the overall camp environment.
They also inquired about ongoing operations and assistance provided by the United Nations and related organizations.
