Barishal remembers July martyrs on second anniv

BARISHAL, Aug 1: The second anniversary of the July 2024 Mass Uprising was observed here on Saturday with a discussion and remembrance programme honouring those who lost their lives during the movement.

The event, held at the Barishal Shilpakala Academy, was organised by the July ’24 Martyred Families Society, Barishal Division.

Barishal City Corporation Administrator Advocate Bilkis Akter Jahan Shirin attended the programme as the chief guest, while the Additional Divisional Commissioner spoke as the keynote discussant. Among the special guests were Barishal Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md Mamun Khandaker, Barishal Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Md Abdul Hannan, and Superintendent of Police AZM Mostafizur Rahman.

The programme was chaired by Rezaul Karim, General Secretary of the July ’24 Martyred Families Society, Barishal Division.
