30 killed in missile, drone strikes on Yemen military camps

At least 30 people have been killed in missile and drone strikes targeting military camps controlled by Yemen’s internationally recognised government in Marib and Hadramaut provinces.
The attacks have been blamed on Iran-backed Houthi rebels, although the group has not claimed responsibility.
The emergency forces of the internationally recognised government said several military camps and units were damaged in the strikes. However, they did not provide details on the casualties or extent of the damage.
The attacks came amid sporadic clashes in several parts of Yemen since early July, with dozens of casualties reported on both sides.
Fighting in Yemen has relatively subsided since April 2022, but the country’s nearly 11-year-old civil war remains unresolved.
The conflict pits government forces backed by a Saudi-led coalition against the Iran-backed Houthis, who seized control of the capital Sanaa and large parts of the country in September 2014.
