How sweet the melody would fall
As gentle raindrops blessed us all;
Every heart, so light and free,
Longed to bathe in nature's glee.
The carefree boys, with laughter bright,
Played beneath the rain's delight;
Though elders warned with loving care,
"Too much rain may bring fever there."
With little clothes held in our hands,
We caught tiny fish from flooded lands;
Little shrimps would leap and glide,
Filling every heart with pride.
The village schoolyard, green and wide,
Echoed games we played with pride;
When every match had reached its end,
The crystal lake became our friend.
Some would dive with fearless cheer,
Swimming far with not a fear;
Those golden days have passed from sight,
Yet shine within my heart so bright.
Though years have flown like clouds above,
Those rainy days still fill with love;
Their gentle echoes softly stay,
A treasured part of life today.
