O Lord, unto Your path I turn once more,
Hold me with Your grace when I lose the shore.
Though this worldly veil may beckon and sway,
In Your sacred name my peace finds its stay.
Lost within the dark, how far I have strayed,
Weeping for the debts my missteps have made.
Yet an endless ocean of mercy You pour,
One tender prostration leaves sorrow no more.
Low upon the earth, in prayer I bow down,
Confessing every wound beneath my heart’s frown.
Clear away my pride with humility’s light,
In remembrance of You, make my living bright.
When the final call proclaims my breath has stayed,
Keep my faith intact, my every debt repaid.
In the grave’s cold dark, where no companion stays,
Be near as a shadow of Your boundless grace.
