PM urges Energy Secretary to tackle gas crisis

Amid a severe gas shortage, the government has stepped up efforts to address the situation. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman summoned Energy Secretary Md Ziaul Haque on Thursday morning (August 20) to discuss the causes of the crisis and the current gas supply situation.

During the meeting, the prime minister sought an update on the country's energy supply situation and instructed the energy secretary to take immediate measures to resolve the crisis.

A source in the Energy Division said the prime minister directed the secretary to take necessary steps to address the gas shortage as quickly as possible.
