A total of 687 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh in 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest DGHS data showed that the number of dengue patients hospitalised this year has risen to 28,090.
A total of 702 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the number of recoveries this year to 26,101.
Among the newly admitted patients, 258 were in Dhaka division, 115 in Barishal, 107 in Chattogram, 114 in Khulna, 38 in Mymensingh and 55 in Rajshahi.
According to DGHS data, two dengue patients died each in January and February, one in May, 13 in June, 36 in July and 23 in August so far.
