Elderly deaf woman dies after being hit by State Minister’s car

A 55-year-old woman named Firoza Begum, a deaf pedestrian who got critically injured when she got hit by the car that was carrying State Minister for Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari and his wife, passed away.

This occurred in Haripur area of Shibganj, Bogura, around 9:00 on Friday (September 4) morning as the minister was heading to Joypurhat. The driver apparently lost control of the car to save Firoza, who was crossing the road at the time.

Firoza was rushed to TMSS Medical College Hospital where she died around 12:30 PM.

The minister received injury to both his knees and legs while his wife was unhurt.
