
NCC Bank has donated Tk 1 crore to Dhaka Community Hospital (DCH) for the purchase of a state-of-the-art CT scan machine under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
The initiative is expected to expedite diagnosis and treatment, particularly for trauma, stroke, emergency and cancer patients, while expanding access to affordable healthcare.
DCH is a 500-bed non-profit hospital that has long been providing affordable healthcare services to low-income and underprivileged communities, according to a press release.
At an event held recently at the NCC Bank head office, Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Salim handed over a cheque for Tk 1 crore to Quazi Habibur Rhaman, Acting Chairman of the DCH Trust.
NCC Bank Vice Chairman Engineer Abdus Salam, Executive Committee Chairman Khairul Alam Chaklader, Directors Syed Asif Nizamuddin, Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz and Morshedul Alam Chaklader, Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin, Additional Managing Director M Khurshed Alam, Deputy Managing Director Md Habibur Rahman and Company Secretary (Current Charge) Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, FCS, were present.
