Softly blows the gentle air,
Lilies rock upon the mere;
Birds together spread their wings,
Bathed in light that sweetness brings.
In the clear and shining sky,
Feathery clouds go floating by;
Do not leap where waters gleam,
Chasing moonlight like a dream!
Cotton mountains, soft and white,
Sail across the blue daylight;
By the river, near the brake,
Wagtails whistle, call, and wake.
Stars of dew on grasses lie,
Shiuli blossoms drift nearby;
To the orchard flies my heart,
Where the fruits of autumn start.
Siris, Chhatim, Bakul trees
Whisper secrets to the breeze;
See! In bridal robes so fair,
Autumn’s Queen is coming there.
