Satkhira, Rangamati claim Sepak Takraw Super Series titles

Satkhira clinched the men's title while Rangamati emerged champions in the women's category at the Artisan Sepak Takraw Super Series-1, concluded in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Satkhira defeated Nilphamari 2-0 in the men's final at the National Sepak Takraw Stadium, adjacent to the historic Paltan Ground, to cap a commanding campaign in the two-day competition.

In the women's event, Rangamati secured the title on the basis of the group-league standings, finishing top with six points. Nilphamari, who accumulated four points, settled for the runners-up position.

The Bangladesh Sepak Takraw Federation organised the competition in accordance with its 2026 annual calendar. The tournament featured the quad event in both the men's and women's categories, bringing together leading district sides selected through rankings from the respective national championships.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque attended the closing and prize-giving ceremony as chief guest. Md Daulatuzzaman Khan, NDC, executive director of the National Sports Council, was present as special guest.

Mohammed Faruque Dhali, general secretary of the Bangladesh Sepak Takraw Federation, along with federation members and officials, also attended the ceremony.
The Super Series provided a competitive platform for the country's leading district teams, with Satkhira and Rangamati now having their names etched on the inaugural edition's roll of honour.
