Joypurhat Jubo Dal runs cleanliness campaign

JOYPURHAT, Sept 18: The district unit of the Jubo Dal on Thursday conducted a dengue-awareness campaign, cleaned areas around two schools and sprayed mosquito-control chemicals as part of the party’s seven-day programme to prevent and control Aedes mosquitoes.

The activities were held at Bhadsha High School and Dogachhi High School in Joypurhat Sadar Upazila, involving students, teachers and local community leaders. District Jubo Dal Convener ATM Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvro said the programme is aimed at reducing the spread of dengue through public awareness, environmental cleanliness and mosquito control.

The awareness session was chaired by Shuvro and moderated by Acting Member-Secretary Shariful Islam. Vadsa Union BNP General Secretary (GS) Mamunur Rashid Mamun, BNP leader Rafiqul Islam, and the others also attended.
