Driver dies after van overturns in Wari

A battery-powered van driver was killed after his vehicle overturned in the Joy Kali Temple area under Wari Police Station in Dhaka on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 45, from Mymensingh.He had been living with his family in the Amtala area of Moghbazar.

Wari Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shamim Reza said, "police found the van driver  in critical condition around 7:00 AM on Monday (September 21) lying injured in the Joy Kali Temple area after receiving information about the incident and sent to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where  attending physician declared him dead."

According to local residents, Rafiqul was driving the van at high speed when he lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and trapping him underneath.
