Bangladesh Bank governor meets Indian high commissioner

Bangladesh Bank Governor met Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi on Tuesday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral economic, trade and financial ties.

The meeting was held at Bangladesh Bank, according to a statement issued by the central bank.

During the meeting, the governor expressed interest in expanding the use of Bangla QR, learning from India's experience in cross-border digital transactions and exploring possible technical cooperation.

He also urged India to increase imports of Bangladeshi products to help improve the bilateral trade balance.

Trivedi, meanwhile, stressed the need to make foreign investment easier, according to the statement.
