Technical issue disrupts metro rail schedule

Dhaka Metro Rail experienced delays on Wednesday (September 23) morning due to a technical glitch, causing severe congestion across several stations.

A technical fault disrupted the standard train schedule on the Uttara-Motijheel route in both directions. Trains arrived later than scheduled, leaving morning commuters and office-goers facing significant hardship.

The delays caused massive passenger overcrowding on station platforms. Mirpur-10, Shewrapara, Agargaon, and Farmgate stations witnessed the heaviest crowds.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the authority managing the metro rail, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the disruption or the current situation.
