Harvest Moon visible from Bangladesh tonight

Skywatchers in Bangladesh will be able to see the 2026 Harvest Moon in the eastern sky after sunset on Saturday, weather permitting.
The full Moon will reach its peak at 5:49 PM BST, according to astronomical data. From Bangladesh, it will be visible after sunset.
The Harvest Moon is the full Moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox. It is traditionally associated with the farming season and the harvesting of crops.
The name dates back to a time before electric lighting, when the bright full Moon provided farmers with additional light to work in the fields after sunset.
The Harvest Moon usually appears in September, although it can occur in October depending on the date of the autumnal equinox.
The Moon may appear larger and take on a reddish, orange or golden hue when it is close to the horizon. This is caused by the Earth’s atmosphere, through which moonlight travels before reaching the observer.
Blue light is scattered more strongly by the atmosphere, allowing relatively more red and orange light to reach the eye. As the Moon rises higher, the effect gradually decreases and it appears more silvery.
No special equipment is needed to observe the Harvest Moon from Bangladesh. People can look towards the eastern sky after sunset.
A clear horizon and a location away from bright city lights may offer a better view of the Moon as it rises.
