Farmer killed in road accident in Kushtia

A farmer was killed in a road accident in Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Kifat Molla, 50, son of late Dabir Molla of Shehala Mathpara village.

According to the victim’s family and locals, Kifat went to a field by bicycle to collect grass for cattle around noon. When he reached an empty road inside the field in Shehala Mathpara area of Boalia union, a vehicle hit him from behind.

He fell onto the road and sustained severe head injuries. Locals rescued him and took him to Daulatpur Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.

Daulatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khaledur Rahman confirmed the death and said the body would be handed over to the family after completing legal procedures.
