The government has issued 23 comprehensive directives to top bureaucrats, ordering internal committees to identify corrupt officials and restricting repeated foreign trips by the same staff.

The decisions were finalized during a secretaries' meeting chaired by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani on September 15, with instructions subsequently dispatched to all ministries and departments.

Under the directives, all government offices and subordinate bodies must set up solar panels, submit bi-monthly progress reports to the Power Division, and establish digital attendance machines linked to an ICT Division dashboard.

To improve discipline, the government mandated departmental action under the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018, against staff seeking unauthorized lobbying, with details recorded in their personal dossiers.

The instructions also call for eliminating unnecessary posts, completing recruitment for vacant positions, providing hassle-free public services, and prohibiting procurement proposals sent to cabinet committees without allocated funds.

Additionally, inter-agency land disputes must be resolved through inter-ministerial coordination to avoid lawsuits between government entities, while official project monitoring must be intensified across all sectors.
