Over 150 illegal structures removed in Ctg industrial area

More than 150 illegal structures built on both sides of roads and footpaths in the Kalurghat industrial area of Chattogram were removed in a drive by a mobile court of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) on Tuesday.

The drive, led by CCC Executive Magistrate Chaiti Sarbavidya, was conducted from Badamtal intersection to Hamidchar in Chandgaon.

The structures, including shops and temporary and permanent establishments, had obstructed normal movement along the roads and footpaths.

CCC officials said such drives against illegal structures would continue in the public interest.

Officials and employees of relevant CCC departments, along with members of SRB-7 and Chattogram Metropolitan Police, assisted the magistrate during the drive.
