The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has finally released the syllabus and mark distribution for three compulsory subjects of Class XI students for the 2026-27 academic year, a week after classes began.
The syllabus covers Bangla, English and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and was published on the NCTB website on Friday night (October 2).
Classes for the new academic year began on September 24. However, the syllabus had not been published during the first week, leaving teachers and students uncertain about the course content and assessment structure.
Under the usual schedule, the NCTB is expected to publish the syllabus and mark distribution before the admission process begins.
Teachers have also criticised delays in previous years. They said similar delays in releasing syllabuses can leave students with insufficient time to prepare for examinations.
