BCIC appoints Md Babul Mia as Chairman

Md Babul Mia, Additional Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, joined the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) as its Chairman on Thursday.

Md Babul Mia joined the 15th BCS (Administration) Cadre on November 15, 1995. During his career in field administration, he successfully served in various capacities, including Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (Land), UpazilaNirbahi Officer (UNO), and Additional Deputy Commissioner in different districts, says a press release.

He has also held important positions in the central administration across various ministries, including the Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, and Ministry of Planning.
Prior to joining BCIC, he was serving as an Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Planning.
