Transfermarkt has published its latest ranking of the world’s 10 most valuable footballers, with no Argentine player making the top 10 for the first time in several years.

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland jointly top the list, each with a market value of €220 million. Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe ranks second at €200 million.

Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior sits 10th, despite a €70 million drop in his market value in less than two years. Meanwhile, Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez’s value has reached €120 million following his move to Manchester City.

European club football stars dominate the top five. Bayern Munich’s French winger Michael Olise ranks fourth at €180 million, up €50 million over the past year from €130 million in October 2025.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is fifth with a market value of €160 million, followed by Barcelona’s Pedri at €150 million.

Paris Saint-Germain have three players in seventh, eighth and ninth place: Joao Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Vitinha, each valued at €140 million.

Vinicius Junior completes the top 10 with a current market value of €130 million. His value stood at €200 million between 2024 and 2025, marking a decline of €70 million in less than two years.

Fernandez ranks 11th overall with a market value of €120 million, alongside Yan Diomande, Desire Doue, Elliot Anderson, Morgan Rogers and Declan Rice.

Fernandez’s latest valuation is his first since his reported €145 million move from Chelsea to Manchester City. He is now the second-most valuable South American player, according to the ranking.

Argentine forward Julian Alvarez ranks third among South American players, with a market value of €110 million. His valuation has declined amid fluctuating performances for Atletico Madrid, although he remains South America’s most valuable centre-forward.

Other Argentines among the 15 most valuable players include Lautaro Martinez, valued at €85 million, Nicolas Paz at €80 million and Alexis Mac Allister at €70 million.
