Shakib, Mithila fly to New York for Dhallywood Awards

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan and actress Tanjia Zaman Mithila have flown to New York to attend the Dhallywood Awards 2026, sparking curiosity among fans after a photo of the two sitting beside each other on a flight went viral on social media.

Mithila put an end to the speculation through a Facebook post, confirming that they were travelling to the United States for the award ceremony, not for a new film shoot. The two stars have already arrived in New York.

Alongside photos from the flight, Mithila shared the event’s official poster on Facebook, captioning the post, “Agun and Elina are coming to the Dhallywood Awards. See you in New York!”

The names refer to their characters in the film Rockstar, in which Shakib played Agun and Mithila portrayed Elina.

The Dhallywood Awards 2026 is scheduled to take place on October 10 at the Evangel Church Center in Long Island City, New York. Organised by Showtime Music, the event will feature Shakib Khan as a special attraction, with Mithila also set to appear on the same stage.
