Six burnt in fire incidents in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ, Oct 11: Six people were burnt, and three others were injured in three separate incidents in Narayanganj on Saturday night, including gas explosions at two homes and a fire at a chemical warehouse, officials said.

The incidents occurred in Kanchpur in Sonargaon, Fatullah and Deobhog in the Narayanganj city.

Four people were burnt and three injured when accumulated gas ignited following pipeline leaks at two houses. In a separate incident, two workers suffered burns in a fire at a chemical warehouse.

The injured were taken to local hospitals, while the burnt victims were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.

Abdullah Al Arefin, Deputy Director of the Narayanganj Fire Service, confirmed the incidents and said the victims had been rescued and taken for treatment.
