MP opens Durga Puja festival at Birol

BIROL, DINAJPUR, Oct 15: Al-Hajj Sadique Reaz Chowdhury Pinak, Member of Parliament for Dinajpur-2 (Birol-Bochaganj) Constituency and a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, inaugurated the Durga Puja celebrations at the Dhukurjhari (Piplya) Sarbojonin Durga Puja Mandap in Birol on Wednesday evening.

Present on the occasion were M Akkas Ali, Publicity Secretary of the Upazila BNP, Ziaul Huda Chowdhury, President of Dhukurjhari High School, Bimal Chandra Das, Head Teacher, Dinesh Chandra Roy, Convener of the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Kalyan Front, Belal Hossain, President of the Upazila Krishak Dal, Asadul Islam, Acting Convener of the Swechchhasebak Dal, Mominur Islam, Joint Convener of the Upazila Jubo Dal, and Tarikul Islam, a member of the Upazila Jubo Dal, among others.

Following the inauguration, Pinak distributed gifts to the presidents and secretaries of 10 Durga Puja Mandaps in Dhamoir Union.
