BSF yet to return two Bangladeshi policemen

India’s Border Security Force (BSF) has yet to return two Bangladeshi police personnel detained near the Ashabari border in Cumilla’s Brahmanpara upazila, even after 14 hours.

ASI Imran and Constable Rohit were on a drug recovery drive near border pillar No. 2059 on Thursday night when they were allegedly caught and beaten by Indian drug traders before being handed over to the BSF.

Police said contact between the authorities of Bangladesh and India was ongoing to secure their return.
