Dear Sir,
Trains play an important role in improving our country's transport system and making travel faster and more convenient. However, their inability to stop suddenly often leads to fatal accidents, claiming many lives every year.
One major reason behind these accidents is the inadequate and untimely use of train horns, particularly in crowded areas and near railway stations. Train drivers should sound horns repeatedly and sufficiently before approaching places with heavy pedestrian movement and railway stations. This would alert people and give them time to move away from the tracks.
Moreover, designated staff should be appointed at railway crossings and other vulnerable points to monitor people's movement and help prevent accidents. The concerned authorities must take prompt and effective measures to strengthen railway safety and prevent avoidable loss of life.
I hope the authorities will give this matter due attention and take the necessary steps to protect lives.
