IFIC Bank appoints Imran Ahmed as AMD

Imran Ahmed has joined as Additional Managing Director (AMD) of IFIC Bank PLC, bringing over 28 years of professional experience across banking, finance, operations, information technology and risk management.

Prior to joining IFIC Bank PLC, Ahmed served as Deputy Managing Director of National Bank PLC. His previous leadership positions include General Manager and Chief Audit Officer at Sonali Bank PLC, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at NRB Bank PLC, and Chief Financial Officer at Bank Asia PLC, says a press release. 

Ahmed holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Shari’ah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA), and Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist (CSRS). 

He has also completed specialized training programmes in USA, Norway, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Earlier in his career, he served as a Partner at Qasem and Co., Chartered Accountants, then an associate firm of PwC.
