Prime Bank PLC has signed a one-year corporate social responsibility (CSR) partnership with UCEP Bangladesh to cover the operational costs and vocational education of underprivileged children at two technical schools in Khulna and Rajshahi.

Md Ziaur Rahman, additional managing director and chief risk officer of Prime Bank, and Engineer Mohd Abdul Mannan, executive director in charge and director of programmes and innovations at UCEP Bangladesh, recently signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the bank's head office in Dhaka, according to the press release.

Senior officials from both organisations attended the signing ceremony.

The partnership aims to expand access to technical education, support national skills development, promote gender equality and strengthen youth empowerment.

Speaking about the collaboration, Ziaur Rahman said that investing in technical education means investing in the country's economic future, aligning with sustainable banking goals and community welfare.

He said the initiative reaffirmed the bank's commitment to corporate social responsibility, poverty alleviation and developing a skilled workforce for a modern Bangladesh.
