Dr Kamruzzaman appointed new Post and Telecom Secretary

Dr Md Kamruzzaman has officially assumed charge as the new Secretary to the Posts and Telecommunications Division.

Dr Kamruzzaman, an officer of the 17th batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration Cadre, was welcomed to the ministry on Sunday (October 25) by Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam.

His appointment as Secretary to the Posts and Telecommunications Division was issued earlier through a gazette notification by the Ministry of Public Administration on October 18.

Prior to his current assignment, Dr Kamruzzaman served as the Rector (Secretary) of the National Academy for Development Administration (NADA), a position he joined on February 1, 2026.

He was promoted to the rank of Secretary to the Government on January 29, 2026. Officials expressed optimism that the operational activities of the Posts and Telecommunications Division will gain further momentum under the new Secretary's leadership.
