President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday (October 26) urged students to prepare themselves as the nation’s future leaders, emphasizing that the youth embody the vision and aspirations for a new Bangladesh.

He made the remarks while interacting with a delegation of students from Motijheel Ideal School and College who were visiting Bangabhaban.

The visit marked the inaugural implementation of the newly issued "Educational Institution Students' Bangabhaban Visit Policy 2026," designed to familiarize the younger generation with state institutions, national history, and heritage.

Led by the institution's Principal, Professor Lal Mohammad, a selected team of top-performing students from Classes 7 to 9, accompanied by their teachers, toured various historical installations within the presidential palace.

Following the tour, President Fakhrul addressed the students at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban and joined them for a photo session. This initiative provided students with an informal interactive session and greeting opportunity with the Head of State.

In his address, the President emphasized the importance of showing deep respect to parents, teachers, and elders, reminding students of the sacrifices made by families to shape their future.

"You must always honor your parents, teachers, and elders," President Fakhrul said. "By developing yourselves as well-educated and responsible citizens, you will fulfill your parents' dreams while meeting the expectations of the nation."

Highlighting the significance of the presidential residence, he noted that Bangabhaban serves not merely as a building, but as a symbol of the state and a witness to history.

He announced that delegations from various educational institutions across the country would be brought to tour Bangabhaban on a rotational basis to foster civic interest and leadership aspirations among youth.

The President also called upon the students to equip themselves with modern scientific and technological education to drive new innovations in the current digital era.

Senior officials of the presidential establishment, including the Secretary and the Press Secretary to the President, were present during the interaction.
