Iran warns new Israeli-led attack will be ‘devastating’ for global markets

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says any Israeli-instigated attack on Iran will have a “devastating impact” on global markets.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is seeking to form a new government after close elections, said on Wednesday that he could work with US President Donald Trump to eliminate the “existential threat” posed by Iran.

“Devastating impact on international markets of any Israel-instigated military misadventure in Persian Gulf region remains major concern for both gas suppliers and consumers,” Araghchi said in a post.

The US and Israel have in recent days raised the prospect of renewed attacks on Iran in the war that began with an unprovoked US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28.

Araghchi attended the GECF Summit in Moscow, Russia, alongside Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
