Erika Eleniak gained fame for her role in the popular 1990s TV series ‘
Baywatch’. Decades later, the American actress is back in the spotlight, not for her acting, but for the income she is generating on the platform OnlyFans.
In just three months, the 57-year-old actress has earned nearly $300,000 (over Tk.30 million Bangladeshi) from the platform. According to the international entertainment news outlet TMZ, if this earning trend continues, her income could reach $1 million within the first year.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Eleniak shared her experience of joining OnlyFans. "When I first considered joining, I thought I wouldn't like it at all," she said. "But now, I can honestly say that I’m really enjoying it. It has given me the chance to reconnect with many people who have followed my career since the 1980s."
Erika added, "I never imagined that joining OnlyFans would become such an emotional journey. For the first time in my life, I feel truly filled with self-love, appreciation, and confidence. This experience has brought so much joy into my life."
According to TMZ, after opening her OnlyFans account last August, Eleniak was initially earning about $10,000 per week; her earnings have since grown significantly. The outlet previously reported that her subscriber count on the platform has surpassed 1,100.
What is OnlyFans?
OnlyFans is a subscription-based online platform where content creators, including artists, athletes, and others, can receive payments directly from their audience for the content they produce. In exchange for a fee, subscribers gain access to content from their chosen creators. The platform is used by a wide range of individuals, from well-known celebrities to content creators from various other professions. Erika is deeply touched by the love and support she has received from her fans since joining OnlyFans.
She shares, "The fact that so many people have stood by me after all these years is what has moved me the most. Some have followed me since the very beginning of my career. I am grateful to each and every one of them; their love and support have helped me come this far."
The actress explains that she initially considered joining OnlyFans as a fun way to connect with her fans. During her time on ‘
Baywatch’, she often felt self-conscious about her appearance and body while wearing a swimsuit. Today, however, she feels much more comfortable in her own skin.
Since joining the platform, she hasn't faced any significant negative backlash. "I didn't expect such a warm reception," Erika says. "Many have been encouraging, telling me to enjoy the experience on my own terms. Of course, there are always people who make negative comments, but I simply choose to ignore them."
While OnlyFans is often perceived as a platform for adult content, the actress believes that public perception is shifting. She views it more like a modern-day fan club, a space for direct engagement with her audience. For women in the entertainment industry, in particular, having control over their own images and content is essential.
Ultimately, Erika Eleniak sees it as a positive thing that she has the autonomy to decide how to present the content she creates.
Erika Maya Eleniak was known for her TV role as Shauni McClain in the hit series, Baywatch. She made her film debut in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), before starring The Blob (1988) and The Beverly Hillbillies (1993).
