Pathao, Mastercard launch digital payment on delivery service

 
Pathao, one of Bangladesh’s leading digital platforms for ridesharing, food delivery and logistics, has collaborated with Mastercard to introduce Digital Payment on Delivery (DPOD).
 
As an official payment partner, Mastercard is enabling secure card payments for the service through Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS), says a press release. 

This new feature allows customers to pay for their parcels digitally through a Payment Link sent via SMS when their parcel is marked “Out for Delivery”.

The launch event was held at the Gold Room, The Westin Dhaka. 

It was attended by Fahim Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO,Pathao; Gautam Aggarwal, Division President, India and South Asia, Mastercard; Sandun Hapugoda, Country Manager, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, Mastercard; and Zakia Sultana, Country Manager, Bangladesh, Mastercard, along with other senior executives from both organizations.
