BCIC chairman Md Babul Mia promoted to secretary

Md Babul Mia, chairman of the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), has been promoted from additional secretary to secretary.

He will continue to serve as BCIC chairman following his promotion. Babul Mia joined the 15th Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre on November 15, 1995, says a press release. 

During his career, he served in various capacities in field administration, including assistant commissioner and magistrate, assistant commissioner (land), upazila nirbahi officer and additional deputy commissioner in different districts.

He also held important positions in the central administration at various ministries, including the Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and Ministry of Planning.
