Parimony’s guards injure court visitor, journalists

A court visitor sustained a head injury in a scuffle involving actress Parimony’s personal security guards as she left the Dhaka Chief Judicial Magistrate Court after securing bail on Thursday (November 5).

Several journalists were also injured. The guards were accused of assaulting reporters and snatching a mobile phone.

Jago News reporters Ashikuzzaman and Abdullah Al Kawsar sustained injuries and received treatment at Dhaka National Medical College Hospital.

Journalists from other media outlets also alleged misconduct by the guards and the actress. Witnesses said police remained silent during the incident.

Parimony had appeared before the court and secured bail in an assault, vandalism and intimidation case.
