78 officers promoted to ASP

Seventy-eight police inspectors (unarmed) have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Police Cadre.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the promotions in three separate gazette notifications issued on Thursday. The notifications were signed by the ministry’s Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed.

According to the notifications, the officers have been promoted to the post of ASP in the BCS Police Cadre and their services have been placed under the Police Headquarters.

The promoted officers have been instructed to join the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The orders will take effect immediately, the notifications said.
