Banned AL leader arrested in Gulshan

Special Response Unit (SRU) personnel arrested a local leader of the banned Awami League from the capital's Gulshan area on Sunday (November 8).

The arrestee was identified as Md Joni, 32, publicity and publication secretary of Ward 18 unit of Awami League under Gulshan Police Station.

A team of SRU conducted a raid in the Gulshan area based on secret information and arrested him on Sunday.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media and Public Relations Division Deputy Commissioner Md Akhtar Hossain confirmed the matter. He stated that legal action against the arrested individual is currently underway.
