Former head coach of Brothers Union, Syed Nayeemuddin is going to join Mohammedan Sporting Club, the traditional black and white outfits, as the head coach of the club.
The former head coach Bangladesh and India national teams reached Dhaka on Sunday night to take charge of the Mohammedan boys for the first time in the history.
Before this season, the Indian coach had coached Brothers Union for six times and apparently became a family member of the Gopibagh club. The club officials were quite tension free about the post as the aged coach was like a member of their family.
He coached Brothers for the first time in 2004 and under his guidance the boys were able to clinch their first ever Dhaka Premier Division Football League title.
In the meantime, Nayeemuddin had coached Bangladesh national football team in 2016.
Brothers Union was expecting to get Indian coach Syed Nayeemuddin for the seventh time this season while a source from Mohammedan Sporting Club revealed that the black and white jerseys were also trying to get the 73-year old coach this season.
Brothers' manager Amer Khan said that they had been waiting for the coach to arrive in Dhaka on April 10 and after his joining, the club management would begin the practice of the boys.
It was learned that Abdul Kaium Sentu, who had worked as the head coach of MSC last year, will work as the assistant coach of the club.
