Man killed as covered van hits auto-rickshaw in Bhola

A man was killed after a covered van hit an auto-rickshaw at Lalmohan upazila in Bhola district on Thursday night.

The deceased was Md Maksud, 42, son of Tajol Islam, a resident of Purba Charkalachand area in the upazila.
Quoting locals, police said Maksud was going to market for shopping around 8:00 am on a battery-run auto-rickshaw.

A covered van thumped the auto-rickshaw from behind in Notun Masjid area, leaving Maksud dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body, said Lalmohan Police Station officer in-charge Maksudur Rahman Murad.

Legal steps in this regard are under process, he added.
