DUABI, Apr 22: After securing release of the sailors of MV Abdullah from the Somali pirates, the Bangladesh Consulate General, Dubai, and the ship owner officials on Monday held a press conference at Radisson Blu Hotel in Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Shahriar Jahan, Deputy Managing Director of KSRM Group, the owner of the ship, said that the pirates did not treat the sailors inhumanely.
He informed that a 15-member delegation will go on board the ship to meet the sailors soon.
Shahriar thanked Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Abu Zafar, Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai BM Jamal Hussain and administrative officials of the UAE for their cooperation.
Ambassador Abu Zafar said that the sailors of the ship are fine now.
He highlighted that the Bangladesh Mission is committed to providing comprehensive support and cooperation ensuring safe return of the ship and its sailors to Bangladesh from Dubai.
Among others, the press conference was attended by first secretary (Media) of Dubai Bangladesh Consulate Mohammad Ariful Rahman, first secretary Badrul Alam Bidyut and the officials representing the KSRM group.
