Students’ protest against authority

Protesting against any authority is not a peaceful process usually. But, sometimes people have to protest for the sake of their own rights. It is better to sacrifice a little than to loss a big thing. The question is that the protest against authority for students is a bane or boon for the quality of education and for their future.
Generally, "Student Protest" encompasses a wide range of activities which reflect students' dissatisfaction to the Academic authority. The protest includes demonstration, strikes and so on. The extreme forms of protest are hunger strike, violation of law and class boycott.
If we recollect history, students all over the world have protested on different issues for more than 100 years or so. Educational organizations are known as non-profit organizations but they also need to think with their business mind to expand their campuses or other facilities for the increasing students, hiring great faculties with a satisfactory salary level and maintenances. To do so, sometimes the authority needs to take some decisions which go against students' favour.
On September 10, 2015, students protested against VAT on education. All the students of private universities protested by calling strike to reduce VAT on education and on 14 September, 2015, at a regular cabinet meeting the Finance Division decided to withdrew the VAT imposed on tuition fees.
Students usually protest for their rights and sometimes it causes hamper. If they protest for a great purpose that serve the nation like language movement and ensure common goodness only then it is a blessing for the protesters and for the nation.
