13 held in Benapole while entering BD from India

BENAPOLE, Dec 28: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 13 people while illegally entering Bangladesh from India along Borochhara border here on Thursday noon.
The detainees are Zafar Sheikh, 40, Taslima Begum, 28, Tasamul Sheikh, 9, Munni Begum, 27, Lovely, 5, Islam Sheikh, 2, Ibrahim Sheikh, 11, Manik Sheikh, 9, Ratan Dutt, 18, Maria Begum, 25, Atiar Sheikh, 30, Baby Begum, 25, and Lamia, 6.
On information, BGB members conducted a drive in the Customs check-post area and detained them, including six children and four women.
The detainees claimed to have hailed from Khulna, Gopalganj and Narail districts, said Naib Subedar Abdul Wahab of 49 Benapole BGB camp commander.
They were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station and a case was filed in this connection.     -UNB
