RAJSHAHI, Mar 13: Four friends of Rajshahi went to Nepal for a vacation to refresh them from a long stress. But they will never return from the vacation anymore due to the aircraft crash in Nepal earlier on Monday. The four friends were identified as former Rajshahi University student and retired joint-secretary Hasan Imam, his wife and retired teacher of Nator Gopalpur College Hurun Nahar Bilkis Banu, retired bank officer Nazrul Islam and his wife physical exercise teacher of Rajshahi Mohila College Aktera Begum. All of them were died in the Nepal crash, confirmed their family members. Among them, Hasan Imam stayed in a rented house at Shiroel area of Rajshahi City while Nazrul Islam stayed in Upashahar area of the city. Hasan Imam's two son lives in Canada while Nazrul Islam's two daughter lives in Dhaka city. Family members busted into tears told that Hasan Imam was joint secretary of Land Ministry and earlier on he was deputy commissioner of Shariyatpur district. He retired in 2015 and went to a vacation in Nepal with his wife. Nazrul Islam was the retired Industrial Bank's officer and he also went to a vacation with his wife. Alamgir Malek, Bilkis Banu's brother, told that Bilkis was 5th from her nine brothers and sisters and she was afraid of airplane. Her two sons tried a lot to take her in Canada but just for her anxiety in airplane, they couldn't take her. "This is her first time in airplane and she was convinced by her husband to go on the vacation for mental relaxation," Abdul Malek added. "Among Black and Green list of the passengers we got them in Black list which have been provided by the ministry. So they all have been died and now we are waiting for their dead body", Abdul Malek also added. Tarikul Islam, nephew of another deceased Aktera Begum, told that among her two daughters Kakan got married few days ago and live in Dhaka with husband and another daughter Kanak was studying in Dhaka. "Aunty went to Dhaka on last Wednesday and stayed in Kakan's house and told me to take care of the house", bursting into tears Tarikul also told adding that they were waiting for the dead body. Among others, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) teacher Imrana Kabir Hashi and his husband Engineer Rakibul Hasan were also on the vacation while Rakibul Hasan died and Hashi was in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), confirmed RUET assistant director of Student Welfare Prof Siddhartho Snakar.
