Child dies in Gafargaon road accident

MYMENSINGH, Dec 30: A child was killed in a road accident in Gafargaon Upazila of the district.
The incident occurred on Saturday on KBI Road in Panchpaiar Bazsar area in the upazila.
The victim, Khadiza, 6, daughter of Sujon of Gafargaon village, was a first grader of Gafargaon Government Primary School. According to local sources, a battery-operated auto-rickshaw hit the child in Panchpaiar market when she returned home from her father's grocery at noon.
Locals rescued the child who died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
