4th Int'l conference at CUET

Civil Engineering department, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, organized a 3-daylong 4th International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering; ICACE-2018 on 19 Dec 2018.
Prof Dr Abdul Mannan, Chairman of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, was present as special guest and said that huge types of infrastructural developing activities is running currently throughout Bangladesh , civil engineering sector play a big role at these works. Engineers are showing their activities in our country with maintaining standard scale with international level, he added. Engineers should work with taking new challenges - reducing infrastructure cost, high durability- of mega projects such as Padma Bridge, he added. Civil Engineering Faculty Head & conference chair Prof Dr Md Moinul Islam presided over the program while CUET VC Prof Dr Md Rofiqul Alam attended as a guest of honor. Prof Dr Takashi Matsushima, Prof Dr Pennung Warnitehai along with other took speech the conference. Civil engineer researchers, teachers, students from 10 different countries were presenting 187 articles in 23 sessions in three days.
